Akshay Kumar Becomes The Co-Owner Of Bengal Warriors: Pro Kabaddi League Season 5
The team of Bengal Warriors, managing only three wins throughout the course of the 4th season of pro kabaddi league. The fans and the franchise hope that having Superstar as a new co-owner will change the fortunes of the team.
The source said, "The first choice was Punjab, but there is no team in the league from there. There was an opening for a co-owner role in the Bengal Warriors and hence they opted for it."
Akshay kumar, who is one of the biggest superstar of Bollywood industry and a multi talented actor who has delivered many blockbuster movies in the last decade, was also the brand ambassador of the Delhi Daredevils in the first edition of Indian Premier League.
He had already bought a kabaddi team in the World Kabaddi League in 2014. Actor will soon play hockey legend and Olympic gold medalist Balbir Singh in a movie named Gold, which is based on India's first hockey gold after Independence.
Bengal Warriors have the worst record in the history of Pro Kabaddi league as they have managed to finish with 34 losing match out of 58 matches that they have played. The team performed beyond the expectations of reaching the semifinals in the third season of PKL.
After going to the auctions of Pro Kabaddi League, the team decided to retain the services of talismanic raider Jung Kun Lee and made some smart purchases but overall the team did not inspire much confidence. The most expensive purchase for Bengal Warriors was Surjit Singh, whose services had worn for 73 million,
Surjit earns 85 defense points in 28 matches.
Akshay is not the only Bollywood celebrity associated with the Glitzy League. Jaipur Pink Panthers Co- owner Abhishek Bachchan, is also actively excited for his team in pro kabaddi matches.
