Pro Kabaddi League : Haryana Steelers beat Dabang Delhi
Haryana Steelers beat Dabang Delhi 27-24 in a closely fought encounter at Motilal Nehru School of Sports. Dabang Delhi looked down and out in the first half but bounced back to give a close fight to the Steelers.Wazir Singh scored nine points for Haryana Steelers. Haryana's dominant first half performance was enough to record a much-needed win. Haryana Steelers were quick to get off the mark as they led 3-0 after three minutes.
Dabang Delhi came back to tie the game and for the first five minutes it was an evenly contestedmatch as both teams were tied at 3-3. It was all Haryana Steelers in the next few minutes as Wazir Singh came up with a super raid and then they inflicted an all out in the eighth minute to lead 12-4. Rohit Balliyan made a successful raid in the 11th minute as Dabang Delhi trailed 6-12.Haryana Steelers scored five straight points to extend their lead to 17-6 in the 17th minute.
Dabang Delhi looked down and out as they trailed 8-17 at the end of the first half. The second half saw Dabang Delhi make a comeback as they scored four points in sevenminutes to trail 12-20. Dabang Delhi inflicted an all out in the 28th minute to reduce the deficit to three points as they trailed 17-20. Deepak Dahiya scored a raid point as Haryana Steelers led 24-20 in the 33rd minute. With less than five minutes to go Haryana Steelers led 25-20 but Dabang Delhi scored three pointsin the next two minutes to trail 23-25 after 37 minutes. Haryana Steelers scored two tackle points in 2 minutes to win 27-24.
