Surjeet Singh Announced As Bengal Warriors Captain: Pro Kabaddi League Season 5

The Bengal Warriors have announced their captain via social media and it will be former U Mumba star defender Surjeet Singh, who will ready to lead the team in the upcoming season of pro kabaddi league.









The new season of pro kabaddi league promises to be bigger and grander than ever, with the addition of 12 teams and 138 matches spread across the three months. Names of Four new teams were – from the states of Haryana Steelers, UP Yoddha, Gujarat Fortune Giants and Tamil Thalaivas respectively. The format for this edition of pro kabaddi league will be a unique and entertaining one. In which teams are divided into two zones of six teams each and contesting intra-zonal, inter-zonal and wild-card matches. The top six teams in the standings will qualify for the playoffs of Pro kabaddi league.

Surjeet Singh, who basically hails from the Services, is one of the best defender in the history of pro kabaddi league and is known for his powerful tackling. He has many tricks – from solo body blocks to chain tackles. He was one of the key players of the U Mumba in Season 2 of pro kabaddi league.

It was a difficult choice for the Bengal Warriors to make their pick, given the amount of experienced and senior players in their lineup squad.

Bengal Warriors defense will be led by Surjeet Singh himself and he will have another senior player by his side in the form of Ran Singh, who can take charge if Surjeet is not on the mat in any case in pro kabaddi league tournament.
