Sonu Narwal

The fifth season of the pro kabaddi league is going to be start on 28th of July and concluded on 28th of October. This upcoming season will be better and grander than previous editions of pro kabaddi league with four new teams namely Haryana, Tamil Nadu,Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat respectively.

The side from Haryana, named the Haryana Steelers recorded a good performance in the recently concluded player auction of pro kabaddi league making some smart buys and in the process, created a very competitive team for the new season of pro kabaddi. They named defender Surendar Nada as his priority pick before the auction and goes forward to build a balanced lineup, that has the perfect mix of youth and experience.

However, it seems that one of their star raider will no longer be a part of the Haryana Steelers Squad after his name was removed from their page on the official pro kabadi website. Sonu Narwal, one of the most experienced names in the game, has three season of PKL experience and 4.18 raid points in every match, which is a good return.

Narwal was part of the Indian team, who won the gold medal in the 2014 Asian Games after defeating Iran in the final and earlier played for Jaipur Pink Panthers and Puneri Paltan. In the auction, he was bought for a deal amount of Rs 21 lakh, which is widely considered to be one of the best prices for money.

On the official page of the team, Narwal has apparently been replaced by raider Mohammed Bilal. The team of Haryana have also stated that soon they will make an official announcement in this regard.
