The *Gujarat Fortune Giants* got their home campaign of the fifth season of *Pro Kabaddi League* at the Arena in Ahmedabad off to a perfect start by thrashing "U Mumba" in a highly one-sided encounter. The match ended with a final score of 39-21 in the favour of the home franchise.
Gujarat are one of the newcomers in the fifth season of *Pro Kabaddi League* but on the basis of the performances, it seemed as though U Mumba were the rookie franchise in the league. Bolstered by their home support, Gujarat did not give their opponents a sniff in the encounter. They got off to a flyer and by the end of the first-half, they took a comfortable 20-6 lead in the contest. From then on, they comfortably coasted home to an easy victory.
It was a complete team effort by Gujarat, which led to their victory in the match. Rohit Gulia won 9 points in the match, 8 of which were raid points. He also won a tackle point for his team. Sachin too contributed to the team cause with 7 raid points and a tackle point. In defence, Abozar Mighani was an absolute rock, winning 5 tackle points for the Gujarat Fortune Giants.
For U Mumba, only *Anup Kumar* and Kuldeep Singh could turn in a decent performance, winning 4 points each for the team. Kashiling Adake also tried his utmost best, winning two points in raid and two points in defence, but Mumbai ultimately fell short in the contest. Overall, the Gujarat Fortune Giants won 65% of the points during the match.
