Bengaluru Bulls Season 5

Players and team management of Bengaluru Bulls expressed their disappointment not to compete in front of their home fans.

The unavailability of the Sree kanteerava indoor stadium has forced the organisers to take Bengaluru Bulls leg of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) to Nagpur.

"It is a very unhappy situation last year, we did very badly in our home matches, so the whole team had set this time for a spectacular performance for our crowd. But this is not to be done, Chief coach Randhir Singh said in the interaction with the media on Friday, "Everyone loved us in Bengaluru, and now we are going to a new house where we do not know what to expect."

Team owner Uday Sinhwala rejected State Minister Pramod Madhawaraj's claim that hosting of Pro Kabaddi League would harm the new timber floor.

"Television broadcasting teams are fully professional, they have worked in centres like Pune and Delhi, which also have wooden floors, they know how to do the work without damaging the floor.

In any case, we have always given an undertaking that if we harm any part of the site, then it is on our heads. We have always taken responsibility, "said Uday.

Logistic problems

He said that Mysuru and Mangaluru were considered as possible places, but logistic issues meant that the two cities could not cut.

Uday said, "But I can promise you that we will win over the crowd of Nagpur and prepare them for our fans."

Team captain Rohit Kumar said, "It is disappointing, but the team will do their best on the mat. We are determined to win this league this time."

All-rounder Ashish Sangwan said, "I am very sad because we used to be very supportive to the Bangalore fans. It is not good to go to a new house. We have to play well and the people of Nagpur will have to impress."
